Dryer Sheets, Anyone?

I like the the scent of Bounce Outdoor Fresh, wish we had something like that in Germany. A liquid Lenor version of that would be nice. You hear me P&G ?

Apart from that I don`t care for dryer sheets at all. I have a feeling it`s just a hit and miss where the sheet transfers its softening agents to the clothes whereas a liquid softener gets more evenly distributed in the last rinse water.
I also prefer to use softener very sparingly (in contrary to detergent). Using half of a dryer sheet or less didn`t work for me either, had them end up in the lint filter quite often.

This is really interesting to me, I guess I always assumed everyone used dryer sheets. (Very silly, I know) :)

Ok, let me ask a different question then. How do you all control static in clothing? We have allergies and asthma in the family, so line drying is a no-go. We use the dryer, but the static is ridiculous in the colder months. I have tried downy free liquid softener in the past, but it wasn't very good for static control.
