Reference the GHW9400PW4 I refurbished recently ... the (original) belt was squealing quite badly. A rubbery/stretchy/squeaky noise. Worse at tumble speeds, lessens and quits at spin.
I installed a new belt this evening. The old belt was stretched-out to a degree, new belt fits much more snug. No squeal at first, so I figured Yay! Then 40 mins into a Sanitary cycle it's squealing bad as the original.
Is there a solution? The machine will be installed in a kitchen (stacked with its companion dryer) so obnoxious squealing is not going to be welcome.
