Dyson Contrarotator Spin
I am the proud owner of two Dyson washers, a TOL CR01 Memory and the later (And sadly the last model) TOL CR02 2 Drums Allergy.
I will do some videos when I get some spare time probably the weekend.
The spin starts with a couple of reverse tumbles next it distributes for a few seconds to check the balance is OK then it slowly and steadily accelerates up to 1400RPM which it holds for 6 minutes, the cycle completes with Contrarotation which detaches the laundry from the drum walls and fluffs the load to prevent creasing. The Dyson's 78 litre drum is so wide it only needs to spin at 1400 rpm to achieve an A grade spin performance. I have a 2800RPM spin dryer and it cannot extract any more water from cottons spun at 1400RPM in the Dyson.
I also own a 1600RPM Hotpoint WF860P (Also A grade spin performance) and the 2800RPM spin dryer is able to extract a good half litre of water from cottons spun in the Hotpoint.
