Dyson CR01

Hi guys, I'm after abit of advice. I have the chance to get a Dyson CR01 in whit and purple. It seems to be in very good condition but do not know any history about it. I've read on here before that people how own them are pleased with them. Are there any weak areas to be wary of, and do the rinse well. I really to like the look of it. I have a 10/12 year old miele which I use as One of my daily drivers which I can not fault in anyway, Is the CR01 going to be on a par with that for cleaning and rinsing. Would really like your thoughts

Yeah, you can't fault the dyson at washing or cleaning performance! It cleans extremely well and also rinses very well but i recommend you use conditioner as i always have done with any machine! (my preferance comfort sunshine LoL although it's not sunny at all).

Well, i have had mine quite a long time and just now it's started to go mad and doesn't seem to balance jeans, trousers etc and shakes a lot and makes banging noises! But that's because it's been used for a long time and still washes and rinses well. But it's no matter to me as i use my LG WM12220FD for stuff like jeans etc.

I assure you that won't happen to yours as i think something like the bolts have come loose or don't know!

And you can also contact 2drumsallergy whose got 2 dyson washers! He's got a cr01 like yours and the TOL cr02 allergy. I've got the cr02 flowcheck.

Hi guys thanks for the replys, that's not mine on youtube, haven't bought it yet. It's on hold untill tomorrow for me. It's at a 2nd hand store near my parents were you take stuff into sell and the store takes 20% of the sale price 4 themselves. If theres any problems with it as long as I let them know within 24 hours I'll get my money back. If I did get it do you think it would be ok to put in the back of my estate on it's back to get it home or should it be kept upright? I'm sure theres no transit bracket with it. If moved other fl's like this with no problems but of course this is abit different. The few I've just looked at on youtube seem to rattle when spining, is this the norm? I'm used to the miele being quite and stable lol.

Rich I had a CR02 until a few months ago. It did rattle here n there. The Dyson engineer said it must not be put on its back or side when transporting , only upright. I sold mine before i moved house because i coulnd't face moving the thing again lol.

It is much heavier than a normal washer and heavier than a Miele. Its a bugger to lift it into a car or van. Be warned.

Why? does it reverse tumble when it already contrarotates? There is no need to stop and reverse, you could cut down the wash times if you got rid of the stops between reversing.

Dyson CR01

Hi Rich,
Go for it they are fantastic washing machines and cannot be beaten for wash performance, they rinse well too and use plenty of water. They also have great spin performance, on Cottons cycles the top 1400 spin is held for 6-7 minutes.
They have a 78 Litre drum volume which is much larger than any currently available large capacity standard cabinet size washers which max out at 65 Litres for the Bosch Logixx 8 but typically 60-63 Litres. The Duvet cycle is designed to thoroughly wash bulky absorbent items and the 78 Litre drum copes easily with a 15 Tog King Size Duvet.
The CR01 came in three variants; the CR01, the CR01 Flowcheck and the TOL CR01 Memory. They are all mechanically the same machines but the Flowcheck has an anti flood system, the Memory has the anti flood system and three memory buttons to store your favourite and custom cycles.
They have a feature called the RollerJack handle, it is a plastic loop just below the front panel, pull the RollerJack handel out and the machine will lift up onto its wheels for easier moving. This is a plus point as they weigh a whopping 106Kg so please don't try to move it without help. Also please move it in an upright position to avoid damage to the 8 point suspension.
