So Austin, are you going to treat yourself to a DC18 Slim? I liked it much better than the others, way less bulky and it steers quite easily. I won't be going out and buying a new one but wait till a good used 2nd hander shows up eventually.
Well, I did want a Slim as well but ultimately had to make the decision in the end

I have heard a lot of good comments about the Slim though; the women that have purchased one love them. As I've said many times before, it's going to put Oreck in its (rightful) place. The slim is $100 less than the Oreck XL Ultra, and $300 less than the XL21!
I'm glad to see that modern "canister" vacuums have big wheels. I remember when growing up that our canister vac had real small wheels designed to roll on any surface except carpet.....
I have hardwood floors, so the only vacuum I use is an iRobot Roomba to get the pet hair (yes, I'm lazy and don't like to sweep unless necessary). I've thought about buying their new robot mop (I hate mopping more than I hate sweeping), but it is a tad pricey.
Ok here it is but What strange on the ebay listing it was called Iriduim but on the vacuum itself it's called a progressive but anyway It's a great vacuum cleaner
This is the power nozzle on it and let me tell You this power nozzle has the best edge cleaner then any other vacuum to me and trust me I have quite a few with the edge cleaner but this one by far is the best edge cleaner out of all of them
In your original message you mentioned Festus. That wouldn't be Festus Mo would it? And the Tom Gasko does he have the Vac Shop here in Festus? Going to have to run down and see him about a new vacuum if it's the same guy.

I thought it was He is definitely an expert on vacuums. I bought my Filter Queen Majestic from him a few years back. Was in his shop just the other day to get some filter cones for it. Looks like I'll have to pay him another visit. Definitely going to mention this site to him when i go in. Thanks Westy! Mark
