I’m new to AW, but have been collecting vintage appliances for decades. I recently bought a beautiful turquoise early 60’s Kenmore dryer with an illuminated faceplate off Craigslist and now I’m on a search for a similar washing machine to go with it. Would anyone happen to have one for sale or know where I could find one?

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. As far as the posting an ad on SQ I’ll try it again. I thought that was what I was doing when I originally posted, but somehow it ended up here lol. Here are some photos of my favorites including my working,1960 Magnavox MCM console stereo and 1958 kitchen complete with original appliances that we bought off ebay and installed in our basement. My husband jokes that normal women want diamonds but I prefer an old appliance.

Hi Jackie...

Welcome to the group.
Sorry I didn't post sooner.
I LOVE your console tv, the bottles, and your appliances!

I hope you find your vintage washer!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

Again, welcome to the group
:o)

WOW Jackie, thanks for posting those photos. Wonderful kitchen, and nice and clean too. Great house!

Welcome To This Site Jackie

Very cool custom kitchen counter-top cook-top, send more pictures.

One thing to be careful of when using the surface elements, It looks like you have the little trivets on several of the elements to protect glass cookware from extreme heat. When using trivets never set the heat high to allow the element to glow red-hot, doing so is dangerous and ruins the heating element very quickly.

Keep us posted of your cool projects, and more pictures of you kitchen appliances would be great.

Hi Jackie

Very cool kitchen and TV. Especially like your I Dream of Jeannie bottle. Would like to see more.

Thanks so much everyone. I will try to get some of my kitchen appliances posted in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime I’ll see if I can find that elusive turquoise washing machine.
