More like extremely late 1980s at the earliest, like 1990 to 1992 though.

I stand corrected, Thank-you. The door on the dryer is wider with an integrated handle instead of a knob. Also, the control panels are not completely framed in chrome.

When did they change to the reversible door that had a larger, integrated handle in the middle of the door?

Dryer change--when they brought out the dependable care line in late 1992 or 1993.  Got mine December 1993 or 1994.
