I'm assuming the burners were "updated" at some point...how old is this beast? I'm assuming Reddy Kilowatt's portrait is in porcelain to survive the heat of those burners. -Cory

Frigidaire first made

An electric range in 38, this is close to that.

That is the BOL range from the VERY first year of Fridgidaire electric range production in 1938.  Three of the surface units have been replaced at some point.  The right rear unit is the style that would have been original to this range.  Also note the space underneath the heating element in the oven.  This range had only 1 oven element and it was about 4/5 of the way down the oven.  If you wanted to broil in this you had to broil at the bottom of the oven just like a single burner gas oven.

Thanks for the history lesson, Mark, that's quite interesting. If it were cheaper I'd consider it for the burners. As it stands, it'll probably end up with the scrapper.
