Hey guys!

I've been itching to try some new agitators in some of my machines. I saw on ebay the large straight-vane agitator with filter that can be removed for gentle action. There's also, of course, the ramped double agitator.

I'm wondering if anyone has any of these types of Westinghouse agitators that they would be willing to sell for a reasonable price. I'm posting the ones I found on ebay. The prices aren't so bad but their shipping is really high I think.

Any help would be awesome and a lot of fun!

Thanks!

Jon

See if you can get the seller to put the agitator back together, buy it for one price and ship it for $22. I don't think $50 or so is bad for a NOS agitator - shipping rates just went up (again) so I'm not surprised by that price for the size of box you'd need to pack it in.

That said, I seem to remember some discussion about the lackluster performance of these so maybe it is wise hold out for a free one.

Wish I had one for ya!

I want a blue ramp agitator...

I want a blue Westinghouse ramp action agitator exactly like the one featured in this video if anyone can help?

I did send a message to the seller asking if they can combine the whole deal. I'm so concerned about performance, etc. I just want some different things to play with. :-) Thomas, that's really nice of you to check for me. Let me know what you find!

The video you posted is my Westinghouse TL DanMan. That's the standard ramp agitator. I'd love to find the dual ramp agitator as well. I understand those were the best of any Westinghouse agitators.

hi guys!

We had the double ramped, bought when I was away in college and the Rollermatic failed. The Westinghouse was a lot of fun and the agitator performed fine, almost exactly like the GE ramp, if memory serves. Have seen Mom's model many times on this site. What I liked most about the machine was the huge spray flush that started as soon as the spin began--AND, of course, taking out both agitators, displaying them and pretending that I had two washing machines--the blue gentle one was beautiful.

Confusion: Is that in fact a Frigi agi in the ads, or an alternate version of Westy's .

I hope Santa finds you your Christmas agitator.

LOL

$400 huh? Geez that'd be a heck of a bill for an agitator! I suppose I may just wait for a free one to fall out of the sky. It's always possible. I just don't really know of places around Portland that have scrap machines. I think most end up in metal scrap yards for recycling. Thanks for checking though!

What does a "dual ramp" look like? Thanks for the video (didn't realize it was you). I like videos that show lower water levels, especially on the blue Westinghouse models--I feel like I'm 6 again. :")

Now this agitator would be fun to find...
