I'm reposting this from the Easy thread since I don't think anybody had seen it (maybe I shouldn't have bumped a two-year-old thread XD). I hope that's okay!
'Hi everybody! A junk dealer friend of mine passed this over to me with the wager that if I could make it run I'd pay him fifty dollars and own it. If I can't make it run, I can do whatever I want with it and pay nothing... obviously, I plan to get it running!
I've replaced the dry-rotted drain hoses with new ones, made sure that the agitator and the drier basket both spin wonderfully (and it's such a quiet machine, too!) but the drain pump isn't moving the few cupfuls of 'test' water out of the wash tub. The drain hoses aren't blocked (I tested), so I'm pretty sure it's the pump.
A round rubber belt (I'm 90% sure it's the pump belt) is hanging loose from an arm inside, and I can't see where it MUST attach to something else.
Can someone help me guess what year and model this is? I want to guess that it's a SSK-1. Also, does anybody have a labeled diagram or photograph of how the belt should be installed?
Thanks for the great forum!'
