Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

no way!

i used to have the hoover logic 1300 in australia, there were loads of old old old hoover front loaders out there in their second hand stores, before that one i had a super old one that didn't even have a dispenser drawer!

Aussie Top Loader

Thatsa n Australian Hoover top loader, a fairly standard machine. It will have two cycles, regular and gentle (you select wash time) and does a PULSE spin after the wash, not a spray rinse, pulse meaning it just revs the spin up, slows down and repeats. It is a B.O.S.S machine, meaning Balnce Orbit Suspsension System, designed to stop the machine going OOB. Two of my friends have this machine, one has the 7.5 kg version which is different in that it has a seperate Permanant Press cycle with a cool down. These machines have 4 wash temps, Cold, Warm, Hot and Wool. Aso they have Drip Dry options. One of the first hoover TL machines to not have the noisy spin solenoid that would scare the knickers of any faint hearted housewife. They make a loud CLICK but not a huge BANG!!!!! that older models did. Anyway thats the info on that particular machine. The cleaning quality is excellent in my experience and the sounds are good too.

The Hoover Zodiac 12 front load washing machine was one of those machines with no detergent dispenser, very inconveninent i found but if you don't use FS thenits easy to chuck a scoop of powder in the drum before adding the washing (i had one of these for a year and thats what i used to do).

I recommed the hoover top loader and the hoove aristocrat is a cool machine too, good luck to anyone who bids on these machines.

i will be bidding on the aristocrat logic as it makes more sense than repairing my logic 1300...question is who gets priority of kitchen cabinet in my new flat...my logic or my quartz or somethin new alltogether!!!!!! answers on a postcard!!!!

Hi Nick

I would say go for the Electronic 1100. They are fab machines like Mike says. I cant wait to get mine plumbed in again when we move and to watch and to hear all those fantastic Hoover sounds once more.
Congrats on your restoration of the 18580.It looks great! I had an 18580 but with the shiny chrome door.It worked really well but the fascia and cabinet were not as good as yours. It was a casualty of the impending house move as we slimmed down our collection to not very many machines at all. Thankfully Mike had most of our collection so they went to a good home. The 18580 had already gone though before I listed what I had to sell. When I first used it I had the problem which I have had with a few older machines. The capacitor blew.Well they certainly create some smoke when those things blow!

Darren great your going for the Logic! Lovely machine.I have always like logics and I did have an ecologic 1200 but it was not as nice I thought as the proper original Logics.I would love to have a logic again but I have to be so good not to let the collection go mad again and get too out of hand with regards to the space we will have.I did always have 2 Hoover dream machines though to find and I found the 3060 so only 1 more to look out for.

Mike you have to go for the Hoover top loader so someone in the Uk will have an Agitator Hoover top loading machine. It looks really nice and I love the stainless steel tub! It looks like it will create some good turnover also.If you get you have to do some vids.Glad you have now got the matching dryer for the 3060.There is nothing better than having the matching pair. I got hold of a D6008 a few weeks back and was going to offer it to you so you would have the matching dryer for the 3006 but then remembered you got a 6008 off eBay.I have instead stripped it so I will have spares for the 6042 as they are nearly identical machines.

Nick

I forgot to give you the link to my video of the Hoover Electronic 1100 final spin.
There are a few other vids to watch aswell.

Thanks Mark

I was very close to bididng on yours when it was up for sale but I botttled out - I just wanted to focus on the Hotpoint. Glad it went to Mike and he found the dryer, I'm also after the dryer for the Hotpoint. I'm sure one will come up soon. Yes - I wish my Hotpoint had the silver door, I gather that was `proper' Hotpoint and mine was probably what they called a `Curry's Special' which meant that certain parts had reduced appearance and were cheaper to buy. The door on this one is also plastic not glass......thanks very much for your reply. I may well bid for that Hoover.

Stratus - can I ask why you reacted the way you did about the Logic? You had bad experiences with them or you just don't like `em? On a different note how are you enjoying living in London? I lived in Winchmore Hill N21 for about six years and loved it but I was also glad to `get out'.

Good luck with the bidding Darren. The Logic 1300 has a great spin sound. I think the final spin is 3 stages 800-1000-1300 but I may be wrong. The Logic went from distribute to 800 which I always really liked. But then I guess you know that duh

Cheers

Nick

Any Hoover

Was an exclusive model the independent retailers who belong to the CIH(Euronics) buying group making them rarer than the standard models ;)- also just in case anyone didnt know the 1100 is a A3060 and was the 1st Hoover to have an 1100rpm spin(initially using the same bearings as the 800rpm version, hence this model had an appauling reputation for bearing failure- however I believe they were later upgraded ;)

Hey guys.
i think im gonna bid on the aristocrat 1300. seein how my original logic 1300 has gone wrong on me and i've been short on time to investigate her illness.

im movin into a new flat this week that has a hotpoint first edition washerdryer WD21. i will use it for a week or so and then i will be puttin my own machine in..either logic, quartz or somethin new...question is who will win...you decide!?! lol.

hoover3060: what was different about the ecoLogic in comparision to the logics. aside from the turquise paddles with the holes in? was it lower energy consumption and lower water levels?

Nickuk: my logic had a fantastic spin which went from distribution to 800rpm and then 1300rpm. jon has said to me before he believes the 1300rpm was comparable to his aegs 1600rpm!

the thing i miss about it most is the fantastic rinsing. which is swayin me to get another or mine fixed!

I made some general enquiries about the Elctronic 1100 and the very helpful response is below.......

Hi there.
Here are the questions you wanted to know.
First off I have no problems with the machine and im selling it as i have bought a late model one.
There is no rust that I can see and the original writing is still in perfect condition. There are no issues with disconnection and this will be done shortly. I live in a ground floor flat so getting it out will be no problem as long as there is a trolley to use from the flat to the truck.
I do not have any instruction book sorry.
I am hoping to receive around the £50.00 mark through the bid process. I have ben informed that this will not be a problem as the bid draws to an end.
I would require a bank cheque for the bid amount and then arrange for delivery soon after this.
Let me know if this is of interest to you.
thanks
David

All good - except I was hoping to pay around the £5 mark for it given that palletline will charge £50 and there are bound to be parts needed for it. If he wants £50 for it, and I look like I'm gonna win it for £5 at the last minute he'll get out of it somehow if my ebay experience is anything to go by.

Hmm hmm hmmm..........

Off the subject . . .

I've always wanted to visit Slough . . . well, at least since seeing the UK version of "The Office". LOL. It certainly looks like a great machine. Might be another nice project now that the Hotpoint is finished.
