He e-mails a PDF file of the manual, so he could actually claim to have 10,000 if he wanted to.

Ya gotta read the description for the Kenmore vacuum manual

He says, "Once purchased, you will be emailed this book in PDF within the next 3 business days." He's emailing an electronic version of it. People buying it probably don't realize that they can probably go to the Sears website and download it for nothing.

That's called "keyword spamming" and gets the listing to show up when people search for a treadmill only. Same as if you list a blender and put the word vacuum in there. This is all explained on the eBay website.
