Fear not!

I managed to get the A3060 this afternoon!  It was only a ten minute drive from my mum's house, and seeming as I was over there visiting this weekend it seems that fate had it's part to play!

It is in need of TLC, and needs a bit of work doing to it but it is intact :-).  Owned and looked after by one owner since 1978.

This now means I have both my childhood machines in my collection, the A3060 that my grandparents had and the A3110 that my mum had.

(On an ironic note, the 3060 was picked up from a flat only the next street from where new wave Darren used to live, just goes to show you never know what is the other side of your garden fence!)

As you well know I am up there with you on the cynical front, but this second machine is in Wigan, the previous one was just north of London, and this seller seems to have reasonable feedback - they like WW2 history apparently.

Still, I would look a long time at my £150 (never mind the BIN of £220) before speculating it on an auction without as much as a picture. And even with pictures .......

Servis Supertwin MK2

If that fetches the buy it now price of £275 then there are a few of us sitting on quite a pot of cash !!
Could someone please tell me just what makes this machine worthy of such a price after all its not like its gold enamelled ?

Austin

Here, Here Austin !!
That is a stupid price for this kind of machine, they made over 1/2 million of these machines, and they last for years so i would say there are still quite a few knocking around. I would never pay that unless it was a "Holy grail" machine !!
20 years ago when I started collecting, people just use to give them away to get them out the way LOL ohh how times have changed.
Cheers

Bloody hell.  Lincoln, Nottingham... they're all popping up to tempt whilst I'm trying to clear out some space! Lol
