Anyone noticed that where it would say 800 on the panel has been blanked out? Also the name of the listing says 1000, not 800.

Philips, Ebay

Bought that machine on Ebay for donor parts. It turned out to be a well used
AWB088 from 1983. Ideal parts donor for our Super Variatronic as all mechanicals are the the same. Just in the process of refurbing the PM Polymotor with new bearings and brushes.

Glad that your AWB098 now has a suitable spares donor machine - yep, that AWB088 did look rather well used!

Although always a shame to part out a machine, it's a neccessary part of machine preservation.
People can relax a bit though, as there is a sound AWB088 in safe hands already.

This is a Thor Automagic, it was the last model made, which was under the Parnall brand name, model 244. It was launched in 1958, by which time they had decided to do away with the dishwashing element !!

I have had two of these machines, however the major fault is the friction clutch always goes. As a child the lady we stayed with in Cornwall had one and nicknamed it the "Thumper" i use to whiz round to watch her do the washing most days.

The 3 pedals go left to right - Spin-Stop-Wash and by lifting the middle pedal introduced the heater. This machine had a sudz saver ability. I would go for it, but it looks in a bit of a sorry state , and being in cream makes it twice as hard to get re-sprayed.

Hoover Logic 1300 AutoWasher

Hey, WasherLover24,

Did you have any luck with winning that Hoover Logic 1300 AutoWasher you posted above?

I studied the serial number of it, & checked in my Logics brochure I have here at home.

I have singled out the model number, it's a Logic A3790.

I hope you got it, I've got the same as the A3790, looks like it, only mine's the special edition, the Logic Premier 1250 Washer Dryer A8576, from 1990

I've added a pic below for you. Purchased March 31st 2011, arrived 12th April 2011, fully working/installed permanently in August 2011.
