I was in Harbor Freight over the week and saw that they have a small table-top portable clothes washer for sale. "As Seen On TV", the box said. Not on my TV, dear.

Maximum capacity: 800 grams (what is that, about... 2 lbs?)

Two wash cycle speeds. No spin dry. "Tilt 'n Drain" set up.

Well, the thing was going for only $69. Did I buy one? Hell no! It did look nice and compact and relatively sleekly if cheaply made.

But I thought of Toggle.

I'm surprised no one noticed this...

That's basically a rebadged Cyclone WashMate, which is a clone in itself of the Panasonic "Electric Bubble Bucket" in Japan. I've seen MANY different variations of that, with the WashMate being the most common. The motor is controlled by a non-electric timer (think wind-up toy), and the "Gentle" setting changes the pause length.

I have a TechnoSonic (Sears) tabletop washer, the same overall design except it has a square base and bucket, no pause adjustment, and the impeller reverses. I'm pretty sure these are one-direction only, even though they pause frequently during the wash phase.

To me, that looks like a blender revolving at 16 rpm rather

Oh, Toggs, that Wonder Washer is a LOT bigger than it looks (now, how many times have you heard THAT?)... LOL...

Offhand, I'd say it would have at least five times the capacity of a typical blender.

Don't know if it pauses at all. Anything is possible, including the pause that refreshes.
