...since discussion of lighted clocks has came up,will add these to the discussion 
-Electroluminescent panel lighting of analog electric clocks,two eras of these:
-first was about 1959-72,usually pale blue color and usually clock radios.The one
exception I have found to the blue color was a big Motorola clock radio from 1967:EL panel in that one lit up pale orange.Was in a USAF air traffic control center in 1982 and there were schoolroom size 24hr clocks that were EL panel-have tried to find or at least identify these clocks,but no luck...The control center was built in 1957 and the clocks were probably from that time.
-2nd era for EL dials was from about 1993-2000,blue or green,and In U.S.made alarm clocks.
