I haven't seen their laundry but they have a select set of prodicts known as "ICON"with the Electrolux logo on them.I seriously doubt,due to their awsome success in front loading washers as well as their refrigerators,ranges and dishwasher sales, that they'll drop the big F anytime soon.

They have been selling Electrolux branded fridges, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, and outdoor grills for about three years now. They appear to be upgraded Frigidaire models, except for the SS ranges, which Frigidaire doesn't offer (they have ranges with SS trim, but not commercial grade SS ranges). It seems as if they are reserving the Electrolux brand for their luxury models, and reserving Frigidaire for their middle of the road models. Frigidaire has been around for so long and has such name recognition, I doubt they would ditch the name anytime soon. Frigidaire FL machines (in particular model 2940) are among Consumer Reports three recommended Best Buys (combination of performance and price), so they would be foolish to rebrand their appliances as Frigidaire's reputation for FLs continues to grow.
I read somewhere---at least a year ago---that Electrolux would be the premium brand and Frigidaire the mid-price brand. The Electrolux line looks great; wish they'd introduce laundry products in the USA.

Some of Frigidaire's kitchen appliances carry the "Gallery" designation, I guess it's their upscale models that are below Electrolux. I have a 2001 gas convection range by Frigidaire that is marked "Gallery" I guess similar to GE's Profile line or what have you. I also have a counter depth Frigidaire Gallery fridge from 2005 and it says "Frigidaire Gallery by Electrolux" on the door, so I think they are moving in a "by Electrolux" direction, at least for their top of the line models.

Dual branding
Hey guys
As of next month Zanussi will no longer be dual branded . Electrolux are aiming to have 3 tiers of appliances Zanussi at entry level AEG as mid range and Electrolux as Tol . I found it suprising the didnt choose AEG as their top range but there ya go !

Yes Seamus they are also dropping "the appliance of science" on the Zanussi brand which they had resurrected from years before. I guess someone somewhere has to keep themselves employed dreaming up ideas of branding and changing it every few years to keep us on our toes. Look at what Indesit are doing. I'm sure at some point it all goes full circle.

Commercials--Electrolux
What's her name (from that show with Regis, who has that gorgeous husband) has a lot of commercials now for E'lux on the Food Channel and others. Nice commercials, I also like the new commercial for the GE Cafe Line.

That is weird!
For ages, AEG was the top line brand, Zanussi, was mid range, and Electrolux was seen as entry level.
Your 1990's high falutin' AEG could now be seen as 'mid level'!
And my 2001 Zanussi (previously seen as a mid brand) is now seen as entry level - the shame of it!
At least with Miele they are seen as prestigious, any which way you look at it.

Zanussi used to have a line of commercial,coin operated washers.The first place I ever saw the brand name was at a neighborhood laundromat that had them as well as Speed Queen and Maytag washers.
They're changing the positioning to that? Bizarre. Would make far more sense to have the main ones as :
Zanussi -> Electrolux -> AEG
With Tricity Bendix/Bendix as a cheaper option not sold everywhere, and the John Lewis own brand machines as equivalent to Electrolux roughly.
Zanussi -> Electrolux -> AEG

The dishwasher seems to be made by Maytag. It's exactly like a Maytag tall tub, except the racks are dark grey. That's the Icon model that I saw here in Canada.

Big E is now using the Maytag system, with a few mods, perhaps increased reliability???

I wonder if Samantha, Endora, Esmerelda, Serena, and Aunt Clara ever owned Electrolux appliances. 
My understanding is that there was a US company called Electrolux (made high end vacuum cleaners) founded by a Swedish immigrant, and that company owned the right to use the name "Electrolux" in the USA. Although Electrolux eventually acquired the remnant of the US Electrolux (vacuum cleaner) company in the 1990s, they could not use the name Electrolux when they bought Frigidaire in the 1980s.
One thing is certain: it didn't hurt Swedish Electrolux's vacuum cleaner sales in the US, because people thought the old, very high quality (US) Electrolux company had started up again. I never realized the distinction and remember the durable Electrolux cannister vacs made in the US, I just assumed Swedish Electrolux had been making them here since the 1930s. Now and then when I would drop off a vacuum cleaner at the repair store for repairs, I would see a vintage Electrolux cannister waiting to be picked up by its owner after servicing. You could tell those units were built to last.

The Electrolux Icon dishwashers are being sourced from the Maytag/Jenn Air factory. Not sure why, perhaps the Frigidaire USA plant is only producing plastic-tub machines and they haven't modified a European-built model to U.S. standards?
Surge Washing might be a similar phase like that on Whirlpool dishwashers - during the main wash, the circulation pump is cycled on and off to blast away soils.

The Electrolux vacuum cleaner was brought to the US and Canada in the 1920s and manufactured under licence there. It was an Electrolux design and carried the Electrolux name and logo. The US company that manufactured it had rights to use Electrolux's branding.
In the 1990s Electrolux went through a major phase of tidying up its branding and pulled the Electrolux marketing licence in the US. The company which had been making Electrolux vacuums had to change its name and no longer has access to Electrolux technology or designs.
Their logo is :
I assume the logic is that Electrolux wanted to start marketing a wide range of domestic appliances under its own name in the US/Canada.
Electrolux is an absolutely huge corporation by any standards. It's the world's 2nd largest manufacturer of domestic appliances, after Whirlpool.

Carlo L Vivarelli won a Swiss design competition to create the logo.
It's supposed to be an "E shape" casting a shadow on a globe.
