Just picked up the latest copy of Radio Times and on the back cover there is an ad for the above machine. It lets you set the length of the wash cycle, has 8 kilo load and an inclined drum. Seems every week there are new inovations in the laundry room - would love one of these babys!

Yes I saw that, and I noticed it has an invertor motor. Might be well worth thinking about as I need a new machine for my flat.

Something else that looks different is the steaming tumble dryer attached.

Electrolux seems to be relaunching its own name on the white goods market in the UK and Ireland in a big way in the last while.
They were largely operating through a range of other brands they own until quite recently.

Is there any difference anymore between the Zanussi, AEG and Electrolux branded machines? They are all starting to look extremely similar.

AEG Machines

The washers at least are still different in construction/quality to Zanussi or Electrolux machines. The same can probably be said of the dishwashers to a certain extent, the dryers are probably the most similar.

Electrolux - Design Innovator...

I think they could well define themselves as Laundry Innovators with these machines, I hope that blue drum light is really there and not just for the photo shot, the dryer mentioned illuminated lighting but I couldnt see it on the washer specs.....

I just wish they had revamped the dryer to have a porthole and TOL features BUT Vented, the drawn out washer porthole surely is a way of enhancing the drum size....like the blue hues...(I just look at the pair though and think nothing is in symmetry or lines up...)

For me condensor dryers are the ugly duckling of the Laundry World....all those air intakes draws & condensor traps, at least Maytag/Asko has the sense to streamline them with their washers, the rest forget it.....
