Friedrich A/C's
This is one of the MAJOR brand A/C's in the south. I saw them all over the south when I was in college in the 70's. Very common. They are or were built like tanks. Up north all we had were Fridigaire, Westinghouse, Philco and GE, with a few Admirals & Amanas thrown in.
I've seen Freidrich window units of all sizes and capacities, and I think I even saw a outside condenser for a central unit at least once.
There must be a reason that the Freidrich models were so popular, I always figured because they were good at dehumidiification and cooling in the terribly hot conditions of the south.
