Re: This Person:

I'm thinking is possibly a Phony, because of his Spelling and the use of all "CAPS" in his Posting Thread. Besides I just tried to write an E-Mail to him and his E-Mail Address is non-existant <br

Finish Tabs....

They work fine for me (Classic version- none of the combined cr@p here ) <br
I have 2 and a bit boxes left of 44 with 22 free. As well as being 50% free they were half price as well <br
Worked it out @ about 5p a tab- bit of a bargain lo <br

electrosol tabs

I have used electrosol since I first saw it when they used to have the list of recomending brands on the side of the package and when the tabs came out I used them(I received a sample in the mail.)and have been using them ever since. They work great and I hate Cascade.

I stand by the Electrosol Dual Action tabs. Not sure why they market the same with the Jet Dri power ball which are more expensive considering machines have a rinse agent dispenser. They're relatively inexpensive when you buy them in the large 80 count canister. Mom ran out last week and I bought a 25 count bag of Cascade gel tabs with Dawn, they work about as well, have the convenience of NOT having to unwrap each individual tab but they're more expensive.

The way I see the situation with the pre-packaged balls or tabs is that they go in the main wash dispenser. The machines with two washes or wash-rinse-wash are going to be shortchanged detergent-wise in one wash. I guess these are mostly made for new dishwashers with the very long main wash cycles, maybe? I use the enzyme powder in the first wash and the gel with chlorine bleach in the second. With the wash through dispenser for the first wash in the Maytag, the first wash and the following rinse both contain lots of detergent, then the main wash gives a fresh charge. IF I were to use one of those tab things, it would seem better to put it in the first wash compartment, just like with the KDS 18s if they would fit.

I like them, but they are sudsy in my WP. You can hear the wash arms slowing down and air getting sucked into the pump. I prefer the free-flowing Electrosol powder. Just as good, no suds and less expensive to use <br
When the hype and furor was all over Cascade Complete or Total or whatever that was (all enzymes, no chlorine bleach), I tried it and it didn't do near the good job as Electrosol. Besides, I dislike the smell of Cascade.

I'm not keen on the tablets at all - don't work very well on crusty stuff for my liking and leave bits on top of mugs. Happened in all makes of dishwashers we've had... only tabs that didn't do this were the Glist tabs but now they've been discontinued we're using Finish powder again, and we've found that the Finish powder seems to perform even better than the Glist tabs and the white dishes really do sparkle, whilst cleaning even tough baked on grime is no chore <br

Steve, obviously the email address is a dud if it isn't a properly formatted address. Not everyone on here divulges their email address for whatever reason they want, nor is it an obligation to do so in order to be a member of this site <br
(BTW, in terms of capitals, it seems that your posts often have one or two many capitals mid-sentence which just don't make sense, while we're on the theme of criticising our writing language here) <br
Jon

What a horrible thing to say towards Steve, very mean and quite uncalled for as he did nothing but point out an observation. One did not realise an "O" level/BA degree in English was required for membership to this club. <br <br

All capitols/Upper case

is considered the equivalent of shouting, and is just not polite.

Lawrence/Maytagbear.

I have some Electrosol with JetDry tablets, and they work well, but wouldn't generally buy them. The store where I bought them was discontinuing them, and they were way cheap.

I'm just reading the various boxes to see if the product has enzymes.

Well, Jon is a bit off for calling Steve out, but then Steve is off for calling Lovewahsers out for some paranoid reason, and I'm not quite sure who Nick is calling Mr. Bond out on <br
Completing a profile, incompleting a profile, and doing it either honestly or dishonestly is no requisite to this website. We may have some forum police, but there are no profile police <br
If one has suspicions as why someone should or should not be a member, perhaps it would be best if one takes it up with the Webmaster instead of publicly flaming. <br
(Please note: the "w" in "Webmaster" immediately above is capitalized on purpose out of respect for the position and the person. No letters in this post were capitalized against common English grammar rules nor against their will.)

Multi x-in-1 tabs...

So how far has the "x-in-1" phenomena reached in the US? We're up to 5-in-1 here in the UK now... and I wouldn't be surprised if we see six anytime soon <br
How is the chlorine-vs-enzyme based dishwasher detergent situation in the US now? Are a lot still chlorine based versus enzyme based still? I think most if not all here in the UK are indeed enzyme-based <br
Also I noticed on Jamie's portable dishwasher thread that dishwasher powder is sold in boxes over there like washing powder would be. It surprised me as over here powder is sold in bottles, to prevent moisture from clumping the powder up I suppose <br
Jo <br
PS. apologies if my tongue was a bit too sharp. Tis all too easy to post before you think on the internet.

5-in-1? What are the five? What could possibly be the 6th <br
I wish they did put DW powder in bottles, as the humidity in cabinets under a sink tends to promote clumping <br
(note: DW in this post = "dishwasher", not "dear wife")

Peter - 5 in 1 tabs consist of Detergent, Rinse Aid, Salt Action, Glass Protector and Detergent Booster. I would imagine 6 in 1 tabs could contain a stainless steel shiner or perhaps a dishwasher cleaner, and maybe also magic little pixies which also unloads the dishwasher after the cycle is complete <br
Toggle - chocolate fudge please <br

HATE <br
For my dishwasher anyways...they cause way too much foam in my little 18-inch Kenmore with Portland soft water. I prefer the Cascade or Target powder with some plain old Jet Dry in the dispenser.

I am curious about these tabs. I have been wondering if I should buy the 3 in 1 Electrosol tabs at Costco when they go on sale. What would happen to the Jet Dry ball if the tab is dissolved and it falls into the hard food disposer in my Kenmore during the wash cycle? No rinse agent? I would hate having spots on my glasses after every cycle. I guess it wouldn't matter as I always have my rinse aid dispenser full.

Pixies to put away the dishes...

Now THAT I would buy! I have tried the tabs & gel packs before, but I like being able to vary the amount of detergent depending on the load. Also sometimes the tabs didn't dissolve completely in my old dishwasher.

Hate Cascade, except for the "made in France"-Complete tabs that have disappeared.... <br
Love the orange Electrasol Powerball tabs <br
Just bought a bottle of the Palmolive "Vinegar Fresh" gel today.

Re: I Use:

The Wal-Mart Great Value Powder Dishwasher Detergent, since I found it to be listed as a "Best-Buy" through Consumer Reports. I normally use the Jet-Dry Liquid, but I've been trying the Cascade Brand,I'm not really sure if I actually notice any difference between them at all <br
Peace and thank goodness for Automatic Dishwashers, Stev
SactoTeddyBear...

Oh lawd!

Would you look at that, you don't even have to spell "washer" or "Michigan" to join! Just a few keystrokes and clicks, and you're posting! Ahh, the wonders of modern technology <br
And there's something to be said about a forum that attracts everyone, even those pesky Gwisdalians...;-)
