This was a good day for the sales, I didn't find anything like a rare Apex washer (or two) but I did bring home some fun goodies.

This is a Tri-Star (Compact) vacuum cleaner with power nozzle. It's nearly mint and needed only a quick shine-up. I've wanted one for a while now, it's surprising the power these little "piggies" have!

Greg that is one beautiful machine. What a fantastic find! IMHO the Compact-Tri-star floor tool is the very best!!

These are my other finds, a GE toaster oven - barely used and minty! The Norelco iron has never been unpacked and the Tupperware will be handy - the colors are a trip. The utensils are Cutco - some of the best I've ever used. Most of these are dups, but they make nice gifts when cleaned and polished.

Greg:

That 50th Anniversary model should date from 1990 or so. I'm here to tell you that that was one hell of a find- I've been wanting one of those for years, and can't shake one out of the trees to save my life.

Oh Greg!

Beautiful finds! That Tri-Star is absolutely MINT. Did you check the dates on that translucent Tupperware? I have some from my grandmother dated 1954 and I think there are a few older pieces. I love the orange, green and gold pieces. It takes me back to junior high.

Vita-Mix

Greg.... I can't believe I almost overlooked that Vita-Mix. Did you find that today? We may need to discuss a trade. As I told you, I have a new one, but would love to find a vintage machine in MINT condition. As you can see, that shopping list we discussed is growing quickly. Hmmm... Vita-Mix, Tri-Star, Electrolux G, Electrolux Silverado, Trimline phones of course... where oh where will I keep all this stuff??

Greg, I take back the name I called you when you told me of your FANTASTIC find on that Tristar. Because of you, I went and got the other older Tri-Star this morning!!!
I also brought home an old Sylvania Superset that I don't need, but hey.. at $1.25 who could pass that up? My "hoarding" is in full gear!

Nice vacuum find. I can never find them in very good condition so always opt to walk on by. Yay for the GE toaster oven as well. The market has fallen on those recently from the record highs they were fetching but I keep a few handy in case there's a resurgance in demand LOL

I have the same colors of Tupperware in my cupboard, that stuff will last forever. I also have a few pieces that have the '54 pat. date, and it doesn't Tupperware, it says Tupper Seal.

congrats

What a great find... I'm so happy for you. A Tri-star is something that I haven't "collected" yet... yours looks to be in tip top shape and I wish you many years of happiness with it! The handles on those cooking utensils looks super comfortable to use!

finds

wonderful finds greg!!!!! good for you!!! now come back over to my house and re-pipe my basement for all of the washers and dryers that we are going to have!!!! LOL

love ya!!!!!

oHHH Fabulous finds greg, but that Tri-Star vacuum is way too cool!!!! I had no idea they made that Jet shape vacuum so late, and the tools are they really clear plastic? Very cool find! Congrats!

Holy Smoke!

Nice Tristar, and complete to boot! I am no expert on those, but I do know there were several models with the glitter tools.
Ms. Tania or Ida would know the details better!

My mom still has some of that colored tupperware stuff!
