Hi:
I'm kind of a silent observer of this group and really enjoy the postings.

Rob Seger and I had a neat washer find this weekend and we have fun going to sales most Saturdays. I've been collecting 1950's furniture and pottery for a long time and have a house full of it. My partner Jay and I had our house featured in a local magazine.

I've been collecting Red Wing pottery for a long time and really have an alot of it - artware and dinnerware. Rob's been a big help when it comes to electronic restoration of televisions - including the one that is pictured in the article.

I'm also attaching a picture of the sofa in the basement. We had this reupholstered last fall.

Hi Gary, thanks again for you help schlepping that monster combo out of the basement.

Great article! You guys have such a fabulously cool house you should post some more pictures of it!

Delightful Gary.....

very well done, and congrats on your house being featured in the article. That must have been exciting!

Hi Gary, That article was so interesting. You have a beautiful home!! Thanks for sharing it with us. Terry

Welcome Gary!

Nice to see you posting. How cool... your home featured in a magazine.

I must say it is fascinating to see that Mr. Unimatic has not only people skills, but mechanical AND electronic abilites as well. My hero!

Regards,
Steve

Art Deco Delight

Hi Gary

Wonderful pics of your home, love the blends of colour, thank goodness you brought "Deco Design" to the homes article, the bedroom of the Penthouse in the one above remined me of a crematorium etc...

So....do you have a working retro kitchen, am intreguied to see what appliances you have ???

Mind you after humping the big Westy this weekend I think I`d settle for a modern lightweight!!!!.....

Then again perhaps NOT...LOL

Cheers, Mike

Gotta love anyone who offers lots of potato options!

Gary, love that Sylouette (or however the hell they spelled it!) with the cabinet that's only 10" deep. According to the ad, anyway. Lesse, add the extra 3" for the front mask and another 3" for the tube protector and that "10 inches" starts looking pretty deep!

And just because I'm talking about 10 inches doesn't mean you can chime in with some off-color remark! You know who you are.
Email it to me.

Nice Gary

Very nice Gary. I love your place. You say you have a storage place with lots of leftover stuff. I have a basement and attic full of the stuff, too. I think it would be great if we could get some way to trade stuff on this site somehow. Like I have a vintage "womb chair" sitting in my basement. I have no place for it. But I'm on the hunt for other stuff. Just a thought. Looks like you're in St. Paul area and you can't exactly ship a womb chair through the mail, but...you get the idea.

Forgive me for saying this.....

My gawd, THAT IS ONE SEXY SOFA!

I would give my left n%t for that...if I had 'em.....but I don't. Perhaps in my next life.

Please don't ban me, Mr. Webmaster!

Fabulous, just simply fabulous!

More pictures

OK...here's some more pics to give you some ideas. I can't figure out how to post an album online, so I'll post a few individual pics.

This is a picture of the other side of the basement.

57 Zenith Space Command

Got this at an estate sale for $15.00 and Rob Seger helped me restore it. Works great. I watch old shows on it often!

For those of you old enough to remember...that is The Best of Mrs. Miller on the floor behind the TV. Must be heard to believe..especially her rendition of "Downtown".

Here is the porch

Image didn't show up in the post above.

Rob's going to yell at me tomorrow for taking up so much space on this site. I'll buy breakfast on Saturday!
