Monkey Wards are rare cleaners too...
This one's about the same vintage as me, 1964 I'd say. I have a Wards catalog with a very similar looking model...

I've had that one in my "watch items" a few times as well. The same seller has a few different ones as well. I'd like it but not enough the added cost of shipping to me which will be about $30. I'm sort of waiting for something more exotic or deluxe.

I don't believe that I've ever seen a vacuum featured on a bathmat in front of a bathtub. Interesting concept, though.

I looks as though they should plug it in and vacuum that bathmat, which I think is actually a carpet sample. Or perhaps a run through the Whirlpool washer it's sitting next to would be good...

that link you provided certainly meets the criteria of "more exotic or deluxe"!! i have a friend who has been dying for one of those and i think hes gonna bid. i can just see the flurry of last minute snipes!
