Mostly only cold fill.
Way smaller drums (2.4 ft³ max).
Way more powerfull heaters (1.3 to 2kW).
Way faster spinning (1000rpm upwards, 1400rpm are most common, 1600rpm are the usual max).
Way longer cycles (2h - 3h for normal cycles, 3+h for our energy preffered label cycles) due to heating, higher fill ratios (18 pounds gor example in a 2.4 drum) and lower energy usage.
Different cycles and options: Usually, diverted into Cottons, Easy Care, Delicate, Wool. Then additions like Allergy cycles which mainly rinse longer and with more water, 60 minute cycles, ultra short 15 minute cycles, cycles for Jeans and dark garments, or down items.
Options usually include a rinse modifier (extra rinse, more water or both), a prewash, crease care options, sometimes Eco options, cycle shorting, or stain options.
20° cycles are mandatory.
Any washer has a boilwash cycle avaible, some are however limited to 180°F-ish.
Profile washing is standard.
2-3 rinses by default, up to 8 in special scenarios.
