Are you talking about the tumbling with pauses while they reverse direction? I humbly ask for clarification because I am not sure I understand your question. Some European machines had different tumble speeds with slower tumble speeds for delicate fabrics and woolens cycles where the drum sort of rocked back and forth instead of tumbling in a full circle to provide the gentlest care for woolens.
