Everyone's dining room should look like this...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

These babies have been getting lots of fresh air out on the carport, but because we are under the first deep freeze warning of the season, they had to come inside. But where to put them? Of course, the dining room!

The Duomatic and Filtrator I got from Dan Haggarty in CT. The 59 "diaper washer" was the one I found about a month ago at the used appliance store yard in Woodstock.

Clean 'em up, polish 'em up, hook 'em up, and enjoy using them. Fabulous machines!

That wonderful '56 Dryer with copper trim makes a wonderful sideboard for the dining room.

The Duomatic should be in the laundry room----you know you 'gotta do it.

The diaper washer will make a nice secretary in the living room.
I have a white bar stool with a comfortable cushion you can use---with the lid open---- a convenient desk----- or perch for the kitty's to use for their viewing pleasure out of the front windows.
Also, what a comforting sound that Three-Ring will make agitating. Perfect for relaxing on the sofa. So much more soothing than an aquarium bubbling and no need to worry about the safety and welfare of the fish.

You don't need a bigger house

...just a little creative "asset management."

I'll help.

I'll just drive down to GA and relieve you of that Duomatic. That'll free up plenty of room in your dining room.

No, no, don't thank me. That's just the kind of guy I am.

Will someone please pass the smelling salts for Gansky? He's not feeling so fresh...

Those bright yellow and red boxes that originally held 40# of cat litter make just wonderful storage and catch-all boxes once they've been emptied. Unfortunately, Tidy Lock does not clean the litter boxes for you, let alone the entire house. Steve Riley can attest to that.

I think some sort of "let's fung shui Peter's appliances" party is in order soon. Guests of honor may be Steve Riley's truck and/or special guest the Home Depot hourly rental truck, with a special traveling theme to two mysterious off-site storage facilities... I just don't think I can tastefully arrange any more machines into this house, even as a sideboard or a secretary desk. What, with 10 cats already here, I need the space to avoid Overcrowded Psychotic Pussy Syndrome. And we all know how nasty that can be... (everyone nods their heads and give a soft, painful groan)

Veg, let's start with the train wreck called "my life" first. The house condition is just a symptom of a cause...

After the battery died on the camera, I spent a few minutes giving the diaper washer a quick how-do-you-do with a damp cloth and it cleaned up nicely. After the camera recharges, I'll post some glamour shots of it later.

Thanks y'all!!!

Peter, I think you are right, it is time for a bigger house! Thanks so much for sharing the pictures I know how busy you are. That Duomatic is just beautiful, I bet when that control panel is lite up it takes your breath away!! Terry

YAY for Appliances in the Dining Room

WOW is right, yay for Pictures! Peter you can always add simply place a tablecloth over the three machines and serve a banquet upon them!

So how many are in the living room?

I was thinking the same thing...

A sheet of plywood on the tops and a nice tablecloth and you'd have a great dining table!

All thats really needed now is a Mobile Maid DW and you would not even have to leave the room to clean up!

That dining room looks elegantly staged. Add a few accent pieces and, wha-la,
instant usable art gallery.

Duomatic/Chrysler Imperial

Even though Philco was Ford, that Duomatic reminds me of the Chrysler Imperial car of the same era. Many washing machines reminded me of the prevailing design inspiration of automobiles. The 50/60's Mayag Highlander was a Studebaker to me. The 57 Whilpool was a 57 Chevy, etc.

love it love it

oh god i love it.. here i thought i was the only one who had lost their mind ha ha ha .. how awesome what cool machines.. everyone needs a frigidaire in their dining room yeah.. just had to show you my mess.... but yours are way better than mine

Excellent Chris

That looks great.

With the amount of work that some people here put into their appliances, they deserve to be in the best of environments. Just as one would keep prized trophies, art pieces, furniture, and other valuables, so should these favored pieces.
I know of someone who has a motor cycle in their living room as a show piece. What ever is most valued by a person.
There's no reason to relegate appliances to a garage or basement.
I like how you have wheels on your apps for easy moving.
Looks great.
