I think that when Electrolux takes over they should offer it as a Frigidaire and in the customer's choice of turquoise, yellow, white or stainless. Might put some less clunky handles on it too . . .
I've always wondered about those french door ovens. They look cool but I cannot get around the fact that having two 350-450 degree door-sized pieces of metal opening out into the kitchen, at shoulder height for adults and head and face height for the little ones, seems like a good idea. I mean, I get a few burns every month on a normal drop down range oven door. Maybe I'm just clumsy but I would be burning my shoulders or face every other day on one of those. How do you open it to take things out without bumping on them?
Domestic french-door ovens have been around for a while, Viking has one as well as a couple of other manufacturers. Even one from Blue Star in pretty colors!
