T-Bird that is. I've been wanting to get an older car for awhile now (I guess to relive my mispent youth). This is a 1985 Tbird FILA edition. It has the 302 V8, auto, loaded. The FILA was the TOL in 84 & 85. I just bought it from the original owners (who are now about 80). The interior is almost perfect. The exterior has the usual paint chips and just some minor rust at one spot. This thing runs great. We were on the job at their house & they asked if we knew anyone that would want such a car. I asked how much and they said $400 to get rid of it. Well, I had to jump at that.

Great Deal

Fantastic Deal and Car you got! The 1983 to 1988 T-birds and Cougars were great cars. They handled well, drove nicely and the v6 engines had good gas mileage especially on the open road. My mom had an 83 Cougar she bought new at the time, and it was a good car and dependable too. Should of kept that car. Enjoy it!.

I've never heard of this special edition Thunderbird before, what a find! Looks extremely clean, glad to hear that you are getting a chance to enjoy it. Any interior pics? Loaded with cassette and equalizer? ;-)

Thanks for the compliments. I am heading to he mountains tomorrow, so when I get back I'll throw on some interior shots. As for the mileage, it's just a tick over 120,000.

Oh, that Fila Thunderbird was my dream car when I was in college. I would go to the dealership and drool over the one they had.
