I was visting my recently passed friend Elsies husband the other evening and we were chatting about this and that, old stuff, vintage etc and he mentioned a friend who does repairs 2nd hand appliances etc and who had "one of those old fridges with the motor on top" who also had a couple more he might be interested in selling one. I immediately figured a GE Monitor top.. So this morning we drive on over to the small town he lives in for a visit. The nicest one he had was an old GE monitor top I'd never seen before, not the tall one door but a side by side two door model on cabriol legs, working perfectly, but he wasn't selling it..darn.
Anyways, he took us to his shed to see some other stuff and when we walked in I immediately zoomed in on an old black 1956 Cadillac sedn. He says that not just any old Cadillac and walks me round the back of it where I see an old Euro plate with the letters MC. Guess who? Yes, according to him it belonged to Princess Grace herself, he's storing it for the owner who bought it years ago from a family member of a Dutch diplomat who was the cars second owner or something like that, I got confused..LOL. Was exciting, I suppose the guy could be BS'ing me but everytning was there so I don't know why he would. I'll try to go back and get pictures of it once I've found my camera.
