Fagor 220 volt combination washer dryer

Happy Saturday, found this on compact appliance, never heard of this brand, however the 220 aspect should result in faster drying, what is everyone's thoughts ?

Fagor is an international, Spain based, white goods producer. It grew considerably after having taken out Brandt of France, is Europe's fifth largest domestic appliances manufacturer. (First is Electrolux, second Indesit, third BSH)

The names part of the group are Fagor, Brandt, De Dietrich, Sangiorgio, Ocean, there might be more but I don't recall them!

The quality is just average, like Indesit I should say and they don't offer any kind of special features, those appliances are just done "to do their job".

The price of 999 USD seems reasonable (736 euros) as the same machine in Italy (Fagor doesn't sell under its own brand here) costs 699€. In France it costs 603€.
But I wouldn't ever spend that kind of money for a machine in par with Indesit or Beko, they offer the same things and you can have the same quality for 200 euros less...

yeh lere are more brands that fagor own salter (not to be confused with salter weiging scales) vedette (french company) aspes edessa and somone else just cant put my finger on it Hmmmmm......

Presently, though, it is the only 220 volt combo for sale in this country. I know nothing about how well it works. I don't know if it is replacement for the 220 volt combo that sort of went to hell when the manufacturer was bought by another company and non-compatable parts were put in which resulted in product failures. It would be hoped that these dry faster by operating on 220, but they are still very small machines.

Fagor is a huge maker of induction cooktops which may be marketed here. At least that was the plan. How it fared with the economic situation, I dunno.

Fagor FWD612 IT

I`m testing the integrated version at the moment and have been surprised at how it performs!!

Capacity is 6kg washing which is fine for me using it to wash a weeks worth of clothing {3 seperate cycles, Whites, Lights & darks)

Drying is 3kg and very surprisingly its fast without a fierce heat, 2 heat setting, High cottons & low delicates..

Cotton cycle - vigerous action , 4 rinses ,intermediate spins 700rpm & 1200rpm spin Times - around 1hr 31mins = 91mins

Delicates cycle delicate action, rinses & 700rpm spin, times around 55mins

Rinses are a decent level on normal, 1/4 up the door, sensitive option up to 1/2 way up door...

Easy to use joggle dial, LCD display with large detail, although my main grip is it doesnt show the wash temp so you have to consult the book and remember!!!

Mike, thank you! So it will heat wash water? Is it cold fill only? Are the times you gave for wash and dry or just the wash-spin portion of the cycle? Does it spin well between the water changes? Sounds like an exciting machine.
