Hello:

Due to a drastic change in my personal circumstances, I will be moving, and that leaves me unable to keep my Maytag centre-dial pair.

The washer is an LA108 and the dryer a LDE608; both are Almond. They are in fine working condition (daily drivers, in fact), but the washer really needs a new set of pads for the spin mechanism down at the base to be primo. They are complete, with all buttons, dial parts, etc. in place. The gold on the consoles was repainted by a former owner.

I could really use a realistic idea of a fair asking price. I know that things are "worth" whatever you can get for them, so please don't anyone give me that answer. I have to get this handled in pretty short order.

Thanks for any help.

Sandy,

I think the only way to really establish what you can get for them is to see what's going in your region on e-bay and craigslist.

Generally speaking, this level of Maytag sells in the Fort Collins area for between 70-185$ (Arc - Habitat) and in Cheyenne for about 65-100$ for the washer, at thrift stores.

But it's really a matter of matching your selling needs with the buyer's purchasing needs. If you can offer delivery, for instance, you'll get the little old ladies into the picture.
Hope this helps.
