This morning I had to pick up some automotive part at a warehouse, so afterwords I thought I would take a spin through my old neighborhood. Well lo and behold was a eyelevel electric range sitting on the streetcurb wainting for the city to collect. I thought at first I had found a Frigidaire Flair, but a closer inspection revealed it was a Kenmore, some 1965 to 1968 vintage. It was white with the pull out burner shelf and such a greasy filthy mess I just left it. I don't know if I will ever see one again soon, but if I find a Fr-Fl, I will grab it unless it is totally demolished (ie burned up). My neighbor many years ago burned up her sunny yellow whirlpool wall oven after a turkey caught fire. It was placed on the curb for collection. I know she never cleaned her oven. A little easy-off helps preserve the old stoves!
