Sad but not unexpected.

You know the end is near when someone goes to Europe to seek treatment. That usually means all real treatment options have failed.

R.I.P. Farrah

I'll miss her very much

I had her well known photo poster since around 1978. I saw the special ABC did regarding her battle with cancer a few weeks ago. I had hopes that she'd servivie but, alas, her battle is now over and she's at a better place. I hope the best for O'neal and their son.

Sad

Farrah was my first crush in my very-pre-teen years -- I had the T-shirt of the iconic poster and literally wore it out before i outgrew it.

A sad day indeed.

R.I.P. Farrah!

As much as I hate to hear of her death, I am grateful though, that she is no longer in pain. She has fought this cancer for years. That just shows you that she wasn't ready to give in just yet. She was such a beautiful woman, and will always be one of the original "Charlies Angels". For years my Dad had a t-shirt with the infamous picture of Farrah on it. He wore it quite often and wore the shirt out lol. And sometimes on occasion, if her hair is cut to the right length, my Mom will actually sport the Farrah Fawcett hairdo. She used to wear it like that all the time in the 80's and a few months ago surprised me by doing it like that. I told her if she has to work tomorrow, she should do her hair like that again as a tribute to Farrah, but as a brunette instead of blonde, since my Mom is mexican lol. Actually, come to think of it, it'll actually be a dark auburn color, since my Mom dyes her hair to cover the gray lol. Oh well. I'll have to find a pic of Mom with her hair like that, or take one if she does it and post it here. And in all honesty, if I were a girl, or even just had long hair, I'd do my hair like her's just for the hell of it lol. Rest in peace, Farrah.

~Many a teenage boy had that famous poster hanging on their bedroom walls. I was one of them!

And of course Michael Jackson's "Beat it" was either playing or on the kids' minds when viewing that poster.

Our local newscast had someone relaying phelp's (lower case intentional) awful thoughts and words. His sick and demented mind conjoued the following " well her years of sodomy have finally caught up with her". The idiot that was relaying this crap went on to give details about the type of cancer that she endured and how in his opinion "developed it"......what in the world is going on with such awful and evil sentiments and thoughts........I am wondering when phelps tongue will drop off since it has created much "sin" and hurt...

I just can not stand mean and awful statements especially when people are grieving.....

Fred is a tortured soul. Every time he rants, another several thousand people, if not more, are repulsed, not just by him but by the hatred and ignorance that motivates him.

And it's another step forward for the gay rights movement.

My favorite of the work Farrah did was a comedy series pilot titled "Inside O.U.T." which was a spoof of a detective show. She co-starred with Roger Healy of "I Dream of Jeannie" fame and played the best ditzy blonde since Judy Holiday. I wish I could find it. I believe it was aired only once by CBS in 1977 or so.

Yes Farrah was Beautiful, and a life well lived. I think her "Burning Bed" movie did so much to expose the horror of domestic violence. She really was an Angel.
