Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

eww I think again positioning for sale to all those ignorant laundry attemptors who simply refuse to learn how to do anything properly--ya know like slinging detergent all over the machine when adding--just another example. They can't hit the dispenser right so it splashed all over and rotten their clothes lol.

This is a Silly Product, IMHO

I've seen the commercials for this product, and good grief. This is a superfluous product....weakend, buffered bleach. *rolls eyes*

For 25 years now, I have:

1)Bought whatever 5.25% bleach was on sale cheap.

2)Diluted it with a quart or more of water.

3)Added it about 5 minutes after the wash cycle begins.

4)Used it judiciously, only on stained white or colorfast items (no non-colorfast, wool, silk, or spandex).

Interestingly, in this entire time, I have had nothing but white whites, and stains removed the first time, with no fading or fabric deterioration.

LOL...amazing how well reading the directions works. :-)

Well, after all the brickbats hurled in the previous posts, I'm almost scared to admit I use and (so far) like Clorox Ultimate Care, LOL.

I haven't noticed any drop in performance (I used to use regular LCB) and whatever they replaced the missing sodium hypochlorite with seems to work just fine. All the stains that were removed using my usual combo of Tide CW and regular Clorox are still being removed with the CUC.

I was hoping that since I bleach regularly, it might be a little easier on fabrics. Figured I'd give it six months and see if I notice any long-term differences as compared to regular liquid chlorine bleach. It definitely costs more, but not enough for it to be a deal-breaker for me.

Has anybody else tried it? If so, what are your results?

Ultimate Care Clorox

I tried 2 bottles here today and really see very little if any difference fron the regular LCB .. However for saftey I still prefer the Dry Chlorine Bleach / Its 18 % and anyone can buy it now, See the link under best sellers clik on # 2 for the Chlorine Bleach

No thanks, I'm trying to quit . . .

I gave up LCB about a year ago, and couldn't be happier. After getting over my presuppositions that clothes could not be WHITE or CLEAN without it, I now use good detergents with oxygen bleaches it them in my FL. Also, after Glenn's detergent experiment, I even tried the Foca and Oxiclean combo and had EXCELLENT results. Now I only use LCB when something is REALLY STAINED and I just cannot get it out otherwise.

My clothes appear much whiter now, they no longer smell of lingering bleach and they last a lot longer too. No more dissolved elastic on my white t-shirts! LOL.

Bryan makes a good point about the elastic bands on t-shirts and men's briefs - although I love LCB, it does a number on the elastic bands on underwear.

I handled this little issued by buying colored underwear. Looks more adult, no prewashing, bleaching or second rinses required. Methinks it looks a bit tidier mid-day/ mid-use.

Also beats dealing with "The embedded-bleach-is-burning-my-crotch" dance as well.

:-)

Colored all the way here too(after how many years?). No need for bleaching those 'nasty' stains out of the tightie whities anymore.

And yes Steve, I no longer do that 'dance' number that you referred to(ROFLOL).

THANK YOU Sudsman! :-)

I haven't used powdered chlorine bleach in years. I used to use the Amway dry chlorine bleach, but stopped using it after some of the nastier things I learned about Amway/Quixtar. I will have to get a box the Sail for those nastily stained items that don't respond to anything else. Probably would last me about ten years or so, considering how cautious I am about chlorine.

I recently started using Oxobrite (another oxy cleaner from Earth Friendly products). I find that an hour or so hot-water soak in that stuff gets all but the worst of the stains and yellowing out of my whites. I even tried it on a shirt with dried on blood (DH sliced himself very badly and his new white shirt was a MESS! I soaked it overnight with that stuff, and it was like new. Great stuff that I get at Trader Joe's.

Amway / Quixtar

its pretty bad when you have to dump a name that has been around for years and go with all new name so everyone will think oh look something new . But it wasnt just mud but s*&^ guess I better shut up now
