Kevin, thank you for the heads up and Turquoise, thank you for the correction on the posting. I cannot edit or remove the original posting.

I had cut and pasted the header. Anyway, the video is verifies so many of the frustrations many of us have with the newer appliances.

I was discussing this at dinner tonight and I believe my grandparents purchased maybe two refrigerators during their marriage and one or two washers and dryers. One refrigerator and the washer and dryer were used by me for years afterwards. All of that to say, those appliances lasted.

My current appliances will never last this long. The refrigerator is 12 years old and has had four compressor units. The washer is 10 years old and already showing signs of petering out. The dryer went out several months ago. ugh.
