Favorite 90s washer

Might be a boring thread for some. But what's your favorite washer that was available in the 90s? Mine would be the belt drive Kenmore/Whirlpools (yes, up here they were available until 1994, which is why our 1988 KM was a belt drive).
A close 2nd would be the DD KM/WP. Both designs intrique me. The sounds, the reliability. Something about that oddball coupler/direct drive design that interests me. Of course IMO, the DD design is the best current design out there. Maytag lost it with the Norge design, the DD is really the only thing I would consider now.

I also like the DD design of the WP/KM washers.I am hoping to get at least as many years with the KM as i did with the WP DD i had previous to the KM.

Other favorites of the 90's would be the Amana washers when they were still being produced by Raytheon.Kitchenaid washers with the use of heavy chrome in the 90's were definitely another favorite.

I know there are several people who can't stand the DD design but to me the early KA washers are already classics.

GE before they went plastic.I was never really a big fan of their laundry equipment,but those machines were built solidly.
I wouldn't mind owning a filter-flo now.

The Kenmore Whirlpool DD washers with the Catalyst action. It spins and shoots water/detergent right before the fill.

My 1997 Maytag

LAT 9806 of course!

I had a Maytag A 208 from 1978 to 1995 (sold house, moved into a place without hookups for a dismal, dismal year)

Moved into a place with hookups in '97, got the LAT
9806 and the matching gas dryer then.

It is the only washer from the decade for me.

In the 17 years I had the A208, no problems whatsoever! Ran like a champ. Still running, at the home of the woman I gave it to.

Depends on what part of the '90s we are talking. In the early 90's, I would have hijacked a plane to get me a pair of Whirlpools cuz I liked the Clean Touch control panel and the Gentle Wash system. Plus, I had always liked the top-flight Whirlpools since the early 70's, but when they started sporting that continuously spiraling rollover agitator in 1989, their version of the Dual Action, that just made me love 'em more.

Then, Maytag did a completely new look around '96 or '97, and I thought that was off the chain. I also liked the look of the new generation GE's...until I found out Filter Flo was gone and they were utter rubbage to boot.

I had electronic kenmore and KA and then got my maytag 9904. I also had a filter-flo for about 3days until it began dislodging the plaster in the walls. It had to go! Thats when I settled in with the maytag.

The ge I had bought in 92' or 93' before my first KA. It shook and vibrated so bad you could here plaster falling in the walls. Not to mention what it did to the floor. It was on a wooden sub floor in an older house. The floor wasnt very level either. This was before I learned of 3/4 plywood and other tricks to stabilize the floor. Its a shame because it was TOL. It had the mini basket,spot scubber, and all the bells. After the second day it went back for the KA 760. I then went from the 760 to the 960 and then to the maytag. The electronic sears went to the curb somewhere in this transaction also.
