Help Support :

1. Favorite song of the season?
Has to be Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly... always gets me in a Christmassy mood!

2. Saddest song of the season??
Silent Night I think... it's always used on soaps if somebody dies at Christmastime! (And they always usually do).

3. Funniest song of the season??
Fairytale of New York...
"You cheap nasty faggot"... that line always makes me laugh to myself!

4. Sing out loud song??
We wish you a Merry Christmas

5. Childhood memories??
Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin flew away! Uncle Billy lost his willy on the motorway!

I don't know if I can do categories

But, here are a few favourites:

"Ding Dong Merrily On High," "Once In Royal David's City," "2000 Miles"--Pretenders.(Not a CH solo), "Jingle Bell Rock," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," Almost anything Julie Andrews sang for Christmas.

I don't love "When Grandma Got Run Over by A Reindeer," but I don't hate it. To me, it's like saffron...a little goes a long way.

During Advent I love "Veni Emanuel" and "Lo, He Comes With Clouds Descending", then at Christmas I love
most carols:
It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
Hark The Herald Angels
Angels We Have Heard On High
Adeste Fideles
and during Epiphany is of course, "We Three Kings"

Favorite Christmas Carol

That's when we lock the front door and join hands around the cash register to sing, "What a friend we have in Jesus".

Carol of the Bells

The Little Drummer Boy or The Coventry Carol

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer

Deck the Halls or Jingle Bells or Winter Wonderland

Do You Hear What I Hear?, O Holy Night, White Christmas, Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella, and many others. As a child I listened to Christmas records *long* after the Season was over to put myself to sleep each night, drove my dad crazy!

Favorite: O Holy Night and Carol of the Bells for traditional carols; The Most Wonderful Time of the Year for the modern stuff.

Saddest: Not 100% sure, but maybe We Need a Little Christmas. One time while driving, I heard Jimmy Durante sing Frosty the Snowman (from the cartoon) and I just burst into tears.

Funniest: Blue Christmas by Porky Pig. I Tan't Wait 'Til Quithmuth Day by Mel Blanc. (Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer was funny. Once.)

Sing out loud: All I Want for Christmas is You (Vince, Vance and the Valiants)

Childhood memories: Well, other than the Bing Crosby Merry Christmas album and the Sing Along with Mitch one (which everyone seems to own), it just wouldn't be Christmas without the Lennon Sisters and Patti Page.

Great Christmas Memories!

1. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

2. I'll Be Home for Christmas

3. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer

4. The Twelve Days of Christmas

Childhood Memories: Waking up at 5:00 a.m. or earlier to see what was under the tree!! Cooking up some fudge and hoping it would set, Mom's Sour Cream Torte!!

Christmas time again already?

Favorites: "O Come All Ye Faithful", "Angels we have heard on High", "Hark the Herald Angels Sing(I love playing these for church)
Also: "Its the most wonderful time of the year"

Saddest: "All I want for Christmas is you"

Funniest: The chipmunk song(always cracks me up)

Childhood memories: Merry Christmas from Lawrence Welk and his Musical Family. A Readers Digest box set of 4 LP's of some of the best holiday music ever. Every year when the tree came out, so did Lawrence Welk, played on the 1963 Magnavox combo TV/phonograph/Radio HI-FI we had in our living room. The turntable on this thing needed to warm up, and the first few songs were always kinda slow! Today those records are mine, I just don't have anything to play them on.
I also love all the lights and decorations too!
