I'm no expert but...
I'm pretty confident in saying this Maytag is a 408.
The timer knob is the diamond-looking acrylic, with the aluminum knob-"skirting"?
And it looks like the lower control panel is the Sun Glow gold-color (although very wore out).
Those things tell me it's the later 408 model.
But I could be wrong, and it wouldn't be the first (or the last) time.
