What a Beauty!

I love that nice row of buttons, certainly looks to be a TOL machine. In the pic the detergent dispenser almost looks like another handle for a front door, made me laugh at the thought of a machine that would both top load and front load, what a way to end arguments as to which type to buy!

Wow.. Beautiful machine... Is this a 5 KG machine?

I wish they made "American Sized" versions of these machines...

(No offense to our European friends. :) )

You know, now that I think about it...

I really wish I could take one of these home and convert it to work on 110 volts / 60 hz power ... (Assuming that it had no heater.)

I think it would be awesome to have something like this.. These are such unique machines, very rare in Canada...

TLHA

Yeah! A very exciting machine for me...

It's a top loading horizontal axis drum type. Exclusively top loading, no front hole LOL even if the front panel coudl be take easily out to acces to the drain pump and relative filter.

The lid you see is for the soap dispenser (prewash and wash).

Nothing to say more, just look for "Ignis carica dall'alto" on youtube and you'll find several other machines like that in my collection!

BYE!

Working progress

The first series cabinet was totally porcelain enameled steel(192-1963), the further ones (1964-1968) like this had only top and front like that but the rest only painted steel, Rust and corrosion of basament have to be eliminated to prevent a breakthrough specially in spin cycle!
Here you are the top and front waiting the rest of cabinet to be bring back from painter

outer tub

and the outer tub just cleaned up (it's upside down :D)

Ultramatic :) "la castellana" doesn't mean "castillian" (=coming from the south region of Spain) which in Italian sounds like "la castigliana", but means "chatelaine", "castellan", "lady/lord of castle"... just because I found it in a very old Castle in a region called Garfagnana in northern of Tuscany(=Toscana).

Hey Diomede is this the second one that you have found?

I do remember your restore on this simular model before.

And did you modify a console on simular type of machine here ?

Nice if you got a second one ..I like these types of top load washers wish we had

more here in the states instead of one brand Staber.

Not the worse but it would be nice for different choices.

I talked to a Miele Rep once...

And said that there machines top loading would not sale here..

I thank they would for SURE... small homes and kicthens it's the perfect choice.

The width would work great in many small room applications period.

Just have to educate people how to use them here.

Nice find and good luck.
