Hi all across the big pond!

I've been lucky enough to aquire a GE Filter Flo, approx twenty years old I think. I had to replace the pump also I ordered a clutch which I havn't got around to yet, works ok but clutch bearing a bit noisy. I now have a slight prob with the timer knob, the teeth on the outer knob have broken, timer has always beeb a little tight to turn sometimes jamming. Can anyone help with what I have to order. The machine says made in Canada prob for export as it runs on 240V. Model WWA8852RBMWW. I used a company in Canada called AP Wagner for parts before spoke to a guy in Ottawa who was most helpfull as mod wasn't listed. If anyone can help I would be most grateful also some advice on changing the clutch, it looks straight forward but some tips would be usefull.

Kind Regards,

Jamie.

had a timer that was tough to turn also....spray the center post with some lubricant (WD40) both sides of the timer...wipe off excess...turn a few revolutions and should free it up...if this model is like ours, should not be hard to get another knob, or maybe one of the other members may have a few spare lying around to send you...put up a pic to show what it looks like.

Pictures!!!

Is there any chance you can send us more pictures from the complete control panel, tub, agitator, etc. Thanks!!!
Really nice machine. I will post some of a EASY Filter Flo washer I bought 2 months ago.

I stayed in a B&B near Folkstone that had one of these in 1997...boy was I ill with the flu....and they looked after me brilliantly. They even did some washing for me which is how I know what they were using.

They had had a succession of Hoovers and Hotpoints and they were not coping with the constant washing of sheets and towels so went 'industrial' - their words.

Accesories and Parts!!!

Hi. Take a look at this link using WWA8887M model. It contains almost everything you need for your model. This if for the knob in silver color:

This is for the mini basket:

To solve the problem in your timer, what I did, cause I had the exact same problem with my EASY, take the timer apart, locate a little hole under ir and with your finger introduce a little amount of mechanical high temperature grease and turn the knob round and round several times until all the plastic gear inside gets the grease. You´ll have a like knew timer. What I also did, I opened the whole timer and took away the timer switch bank and sand just a little every terminal so it gets to do a good contact between them, since it´s an old machine some terminals get flamed with normal use and sometimes they don´t have very good contact, adn before closing it I spred the grease inside the last gear in its internal face and left a little ammount inside so it can always run smoothly. If you need any more details of how to do this I could send a little video to you.

I hope this informaction works.

BTW I will post several pictures and short videos of my EASY on the last part of the washing phase with and without filter flo, a little spin, and the start of the rinsing cycle doing a towel load in medium water level.
