Finally another blender from my wishlist found!

After passing one of these with a broken dial, I finally found an Oster 411 Electro Blender that has a nice dial. It's a good thing I waited for a better one, this one was closer to me and $10 cheaper too! I just replaced the bulb for the dial. It's pretty big and tall for a blender that's just ½ hp but I like so much the look of these!

I think these were made in the mid-late 1950s. I couldn't find a lot of info on them. Mine has a tag with more patent numbers written on it, so I guess it's a later one. I also guess they weren't made for a very long period. Jon also has one in very nice shape. And there's an old thread on this site from another member who got one at an estate sale.

The first picture shows the tag from what I think is an earlier version of the same model with two US patent numbers, the second picture shows the tag on mine that shows 4 US patent numbers the third and fourth pictures show details from the base and the measuring cup on the cover of the glass jar.

Here's the estate-sale find for today. This is an Oster Electro-Blender model 411. We're interested if anyone knows anything about this unit; nothing was readily available on the internet. Today we tried to remove the motor so we can scrub the housing. Unfortunately we cannot figure out how to...

Yeah... I've never run across one.. it's an oddity.  Did I show you that little white plastic oster beehive  that I have.. it's another odd one
