I was so anxious to try this thing out, that I stuck it in my bathtub and filled her up. Happy to report no leaks anywhere, and everything (except the pump of course) works fine. Gravity drain will have to suffice for the first couple of test loads. Hehehehe.

Oh, I did find an old sock down inside the spin chamber that I was able to pull out with a long pry bar. :-)

I was about to say that drain hose seemed a little short, but then seen it was tucked inside.....

Very nice machine.....you'll have lots of fun with it.....I see your also has the motor on the so called spring mount, mine is permanently mounted, no give under tension....

I need to find a spout for the AutoRinse feature in mine to work....

Yogitunes, you're absolutely right. I've only washed two test loads (one large towel each), and I already want to do more! :-)

Launderess, no problem. Just let me know here when you know, and I'll send you an email to work out the details. I have a PO box in Vermont, so if you don't mind shipping via USPS, you won't have to worry about the hassles of shipping across the border.

Checking

You said the pump in reply 5 is the one you need? is this for another twinny or the above mustard one??

The pump in reply 5 is the one out of Scotts white & turquoise twinny that now resides with RevinKevin in Calafornia, I sent Scott a replacement pump and hoses & stuff for that one, which is our type sold here...

never seen those pinch pumps, dont have them here!

Questions for the Aus guys, do the newer Hoover twinnies use pinch pumps with you guys?

Nice machine there barcoboy

and you are definitely gonna have lots of fun with that baby.
I have an issue with mine leaking from the spin tub seal-NOT a good thing.
I'll have to ask for some advice on what is the best way to remedy the situation.
But for now, the Simplicity is more than making up for the loss from the Hoover.
Happy Twin Tubbing!!!!!

mine is the Mustard Yellow machine

chestermike.
thought maybe you were getting barcoboy's machine mixed up with mine.
No big deal, ya know!
At least the pump in mine, (or BOTH pumps for that matter) are working ok.

Sorry chestermikeuk, I see the confusion. In this thread, Reply #5 happens to contain a picture of a pump, but the Reply #5 I was referring to is in the thread linked below. That pump is the pinch valve type, and is the kind of pump in my machine pictures above in Replys #18-27.

TwinTubber, take a look at the thread linked below. In it, unclejohn describes how he fixed one of these seals with a rubber silicone.

Something else you might want to try is a product called "Goop", which is available at Canadian Tire. It is an adhesive, but works well on rubber. I used it to repair a rubber coupling in one of those vertical fan towers.

Back cover

barcoboy,

just found a place in my vincinity (Qc) where they will 'produce' a aluminum back panel for my Baycrest twin tub washer, cost $75 It comes white color on one side, so there is no need to spray paint it as its all ready to fit in place. I brought them the back cover of my Hoover model 0632 *exactly the same* as the one missing from the back of the Baycrest unit. A guy from another metalwork shop told me it could cost me up to $200---or more, for a panel, as production costs and time can raise the price significantly. So, we could say I am kind of lucky at 'only' $75.

BTW, photos of your machine reveal to me how there was a similitude in design between mine's Baycrest and the Hoover 0515-0519 models. From what I can see, the Baycrest unit seems to be a bit flimsier than the real, the one and only Hoover...
