The landlord replaced our broken Hotpoint WM62, and replaced it with...*drum roll*

A Silver Indesit! WIL137S, I recon its from 2007/2008?

My impressions, doesn't seem that bad, Ive done two washes in it, and it works fine

I did my clothes and towels on the Flash Clean (programme 7) changing the temp for clothes at 40*c and Towels at 60*c and adding the extra rinse setting for the towels.

I like the deep rinses, it seems to fill more than half way up the door during the rinses, which i like, as I have slightly sensitive skin and it seems to rinse sufficently.

I'm very happy with the machine, as long as it cleans my clothes in a sufficient time, im happy :)

The only thing im not happy with is the mouldy door seal, I'm guessing the previous owners of the machine used to use the 30 minute 30 degrees wash, and use liquid detergent and shut the door after each wash.

I shall need to give this a clean out, with white vinegar on a 90 degree wash.

Use bleach

Whilst many here would know of my absolute hatred of chlorine bleach, if the door seal is mouldy I'd be doing the 90c wash with it rather than vinegar....

BUT

...don't add the bleach at the start (or with any acid, such as vinegar). Wait until the temperature is at or close to 90c and then pour a good cup or more of the stuff in via the drawer with a cup of water to follow. This will allow a couple of things to happen:

- bleach denatures very quickly, so you want it to work as hard as it can in the time it has; and
- by allowing the machine to heat up, the bellows become as soft as possible, allowing the bleach to work.

What spin speed does this machine spin at? Also, What Drum Capacity Does this machine have?
