Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Theo,

Great pictures. I love historical black and white pictures. I guess it's a family thing, my father has lots of them too, he even had a weekly corner with old pictures in a newspaper for a while.

The storm picture is wonderful, I love thunderstorms!

Veg,

What a close up! Looks like you have a spacious condo. What's in the attic space?

Finally got Google Earth to work, but it resulted in a display
setting of 800 x 600. Then after changing it to 1600 x 1200, it
only displayed the lower left quarter of the picture. All-in-all
not very good detail close up (at least the places I looked at
in the Twin Cities.) I'll have to try maps.live.com on
my brother's new computer sometime.

Louis (the greatest Dutch import since chocolate!), the condo is 1642 SF. Just about right for Keith and me.

The attic is just attic. I'm often tempted to store some stuff up there but it's strictly against condo rules and regulations.

Thunderstorm...

Louis,

Thunderstorms are nice, provided there are no gusts of wind and you can watch them from a sheltered spot. The picture was taken from one of the few places that provided protection against the rain. The atmosphere was much more gloomy than this picture suggests, really dark actually. Here is the first picture I took with the automatic setting of my camera. Note the bicycle tyres reflecting the light from the flash.

Okay - it's only Google Earth so detail is not great.
But you can probably see why whoever buys it next will probably
tear down the 3000 sq ft house and build something else to
match their ego...

The house on Manzanita Dr.

Poor agitated old cuss doesn't know how to find his house so I did it for him. Wow, Smoof, those improvements really made a world of difference!

Amsterdam in 3D

As it happens I found an info magazine from the City of Amsterdam on my doormat when I came home today. From the magazine I learned that Google Earth is currently working on a 3D model of Amsterdam. A basic setup with the outlines of the buildings has been made and a few well-known buildings are already finished with details. The general public has been asked to help with the project by adding details to the models of their own homes.

I can see the real estate ad copy now:

"Rustic, cozy cottage in charming sylvan setting. Constructed entirely of green materials, this dream house [nightmares?] is well ventilated and in harmony with its natural setting. The covered veranda is perfect for entertaining those you never want to see again!"
