Here are Jeff's finds and my finds from today. We really "cleaned" up! HA!

Left to right:
U4007 Convertible circa 1973 (a trade in at a vac shop for a eureka victory! the customer I was told was happy with their new eureka so he sold me the trade.)

3200 original tool set for the model 69

a beat but working 1030 circa 1971 with a replaced bag

a nice original 584 semi commercial from around 1966

Jeff's model 69 that he got with the tools dated Sept. 26, 1962 from the original house and owner! (it even has a working "rubber boot" to hold in the bag yet!)

a complete unused 3200 set from a Sally Anns

a boxed Hoover Spirit from 1989

a pack of bojack bags

a starlite coffee pot for me to play with

my 1955 Hoover Automatic Perk Coffee maker...thanks Sally Ann all for $2.99!

a near mint Good Housekeeper tank cleaner that hid in a dark corner of a bedroom at an estate sale

and little Glenn who wanted to take in all of the finds and try them out!!!!!

We had a great time finding all of this stuff today. It just goes to show you that there are things out there to be had...just take some time and look. Enjoy the pic!

Spotted at an estate sale today

Our last stop today was a little ranch house in Barberton, where the model 69 Convertible came from.
Tom and I have really come a long way, it was not all that long ago we would not have noticed the appliances in the kitchen at all.
Today was different, we looked and OOOOHed and AHHHHed at the appliances in this one house.
Here is what I saw when I first walked into the kitchen. The pictures are from my cell phone, so I apologize for the crappy quality...

Sounds like you guys had a great time and found some real finds. That is a beautiful Flair and the Dishwasher looks fantastic. Did you dare to look inside? Thanks for sharing. Terry

Terry...no I did not look inside...the ladies running the estate sale were breathing down our necks wondering what we were doing to begin with...I wish I had looked inside to see how it worked. There was a dishtowel draped over the handle that I removed and set on the table in front of it...I got the glare from that point on!

Fun Times

Yes, indeed, it looks like you guys had a productive day in North Canton. I'm glad you found some nice machines. Have fun tomorrow too!

Joe

Great finds guys, especially that boxed Spirit! Was it never-used?

That Hotpoint dishwasher and Flair sure are beautiful. How much did they want for the Maytags, provided that they were for sale?

I LOVE the olive green convertible. North Canton seems to be the jackpot town for Hoovers!

3200 tools

You boys are so lucky to live so close to Hooverville! I have a question about the 3200 tools. I thought they were for the model 32 Convertible. I guess this tool set was available for all the Convertible models of the time? I know they are all the same. I just thought Hoover may have packaged the tool set for each different Convertible. I'm tired and i'm babbling, forgive me. Marty

Hey Guys :-)

Whoever traded.......

The U4007 was nuts- whats the betting that will be around LONG after the Eureka dies lol!!!

All look nice finds to me!

That's really funny Tom, I can just imagine that they wondered why in the world you would be taking pictures of these appliances. Would have been fun to seen the inside of the Hotpoint. I just wonder if it ever had much use? Terry

Who is this tlee618 from Danville, IL? Welcome to the club! I actually think I know another tlee618, but he does not live in Danville, IL. ;-)

I love all the vacuums and appliances! I didn't realize the 69 went way back to 1962. I have Jeff's wonderful list but that's further back than I remembered or realized. What a great collection of finds.

The appliances are wonderful, and I love that turquoise fiberglas laundry tub. I remember those, so much more stylish than the plain ones. She wasn't a big brand loyalty person though, with a Frigidaire range, Hotpoint dishwasher, Maytag washer and dryer. LOL

The Hotpoint Dishwasher...

Yes Tom and I were both very curious about the inside of it, and boy did we get some odd looks from a couple of the little old ladies working the sale.
Apparently they'd never seen appliances stroked so lovingly before...

Yeah, some of those folks working the sales, sweet as they are, can be kind of strange birds, when it comes to that sort of thing. Oh well...you had fun and found some great things, and that's the main thing!
