KitchenAid top load washers and dryers
Or a much higher quality offering from whirlpool it was designed a complete head on with Maytag and beat it in performance test that’s for sure.
They generally had porcelain tops and lids. Even the dryer had a porcelain top, the washer said galvanize, steel cabinets, like Maytag,
They had longer warranties and some parts were improved, the dryer said real bronze bearings in the rollers. Maytag didn’t even do that. They also had a six rib belt, much stronger than the Maytag belt
In the second generation all KitchenAid washers have the big agitator and more basic models only had a two speed motor but they just use the low speed of the motor for agitation and the high speed for draining and spinning .
It’s kind of a shame whirlpool had to discontinue the KitchenAid name that was part of the agreement when they took over Maytag so they didn’t have two large monopoly on the Appliance market place.
