Hi everyone, I am new to the forum, and really need help. I recently moved, and brought my FP GWL top loading washer with me.

It worked perfectly when we loaded it.
When we got to the new house, I cleaned it before bringing it inside, and now it is beeping and will not operate.

The 3, 4, and 8 lights are lit up, and beeping.

When I tap the pause button, those 3 lights go out, but the lid lock button lights up, but does not lock the lid.

The washer will not go through any cycles, including, just filling up.
It won't go any further than the lights, lighting up, and beeping at the same time.

Thank you for any advice, help, or possibilities.
I can call for service, but we are waaaay out in the country.

I did open the control panel lid, and I also lifted the top of the washer lid, that fits over the drum.
The code I get is 49, but I cannot figure out where the valve harness is located.

You haven't responded to my answer to you on the other forum (where you have two threads on the same topic).

You also haven't stated your exact model number, but per your control panel picture it appears to be a GWL15.

A wiring harness is a bundle of wires connecting one component to another.

Open your control panel again.

The water valves are the module at the left side (labeled 1 in the picture below), where the water supply hoses are connected.

Left solenoid is cold, has blue tape on the wires.
Right solenoid is hot, has red tape on the wires.
The wires that go under the fill spout are for the temperature sensor.

Confirm the wire plugs are connected to the solenoids, the other end is connected to the motor control board, and none of the wires are cut.

You can test the valve solenoids by checking the resistance reading with a volt/ohm meter.  UNPLUG THE MACHINE FROM POWER.  Carefully unplug the wire connector and test across the two terminals on the solenoid.  It should read 64 ohms.

Assuming your machine *is* a GWL15, the entire valve module must be replaced if either of the solenoids is bad.  It's available at fisherpaykelparts.com for $47.50.  (Older models have a different valve design that are individually replaceable.)

Also possible your motor control board is bad, which is much more expensive.  If the valve solenoids test good on their resistance reading, then the board may be the problem.  There's no direct way to test the board, just a matter of eliminating the other possibilities.
