Listing will say sold. I got it It's pending pick up. I cannot wait to get it home to see what's wrong with it. but I have a question. How would I remove trapped laundry without destroying it if the door mechanism fails to work or if the computer board or belt or motor fail during the cycle?

I've not had a need to do it but service advisory says the lid can be forcibly pulled up far enough at each front corner to remove the bumpers and top-deck anchor screws to raise the top for access.  The lid is reasonably sturdy and doesn't flex much so considerable effort is required.  The lock solenoid releases without power applied so this procedure shouldn't be necessary unless the lock is physically broken or jammed.

The lid on this specimen is mostly already destroyed so perhaps you could finish cracking it open along the existing crack.  Replacement lids are available, or find a used one on eBay.

If the lid is not locked but the drum door is closed with clothes inside and the machine won't power on, drum motor is failed, belt broken, or door grabber mechanism is failed ... there's a finger latch at the left/front of the loading port to push the door grabber down ... rotate the drum by hand toward the back while holding the latch until the drum door slides open.  There's a label affixed to the drum to that effect.

The serial indicates Sept 2004.

Tempatures

What are the temperatures of all the cycles. F&P says that less heat is needed so I don't know if it only has a medium and low or if it has High Medium and Low heat. and heats less often. If it has all 3 then Regular for towels and perm press for all other clothes. I wash mixed loads and I don't want polyester or nylon to melt on high heat. so I always use medium and it all works out.

Delicate (low) = 127°F
Perm Press (med) = 140°F
Regular & Denim (high) = 149°F

Thermistor control provides a tight 5°F differential between heat off/on.

Two heating elements.  1,400 watts (1/3 of total) & 3,600 watts (2/3 of total).

Smaller element operates during reverse tumble at all temps.

Larger element operates during forward tumble for low and medium.

Both elements operate during forward tumble for high.

Cool down is of variable time to 95°F or maximum of 10 mins to avoid never shutting off if the machine is installed in a hot environment.

Wrinkle Free option air-tumbles for 30 seconds every 5 mins for maximum of ~24 hours (255 cycles).
