F&P lid lock
You need a thin dull blade to stick down in the slot -- go at it from the right hand side. As you carefully press down, reach inside under the lip of the machine and catch the hook with your finger. Hold it all the way down while you turn on the machine. Once the machine starts, it thinks the lid is locked and will work nicely.
