I rented a house in Florida for the last two weeks and had a great time and loved the appliances.
I did find the oven on the small size but never used it. The kitchen was galley style and very easy to work in. I like a wall oven

Floridian appliances.

Two washers to choose from. One didn't work and was waiting for pick up by the scrap guy.As much as I tried, I could not get this washer to wash with the lid open.I tried everything to get the safety catch to move. The water temp was annoying. Hot was warm and warm and cold was cold. Wicked spin on the washer. Everything was almost dry when it came out.

First time I have ever used a dryer with the drop down door... loved it and I want one. Might have to take a truck across the boarder and buy one.

Loved the dishwasher. It was so quiet and it held wine glasses so easily. No trying to angle them or moving racks up and down.
I would like to hear reviews on this dishwasher. I never really got a chance to play with it because my cousin liked it so much she hogged it.
The dishes were never that dirty either, mostly glasses and cups. There was one breakfast where some egg was floating in the water. When I checked at the end of the cycle it was gone.

Thanks for the pictures

If this was close to heaven for you, what are you used to?

It sounds like you have a hand pump, ice box, and a wringer washer at this log cabin in Canada, which frankly, I love.  So if you have pics....

Ingliss which is made by Whirlpool, along with the Admiral you saw, some Kenmore, Roper, KitchenAid, and probably a few other brands, sells this same model washer in Canada.  You can also get a Whirlpool dryer with a drop down door.

I had to smirk!

The self-stick tile in the kitchen was the same one I put in my apartment in the 1980s! If you'll catch old episodes of "Roseanne", you'll see she has the same pattern!

The Admiral washer is a late-model exclusive from The Home Depot. While not as flexible and efficient as the previous models, it does the job for a cheap purchase price. Albeit noisily! The "dead" washer is similar to the GE I have. Pretty good workhorse, especially the final spray-rinse in the spin cycle. I sold a lot of them when I worked at THD. That one and the Admiral were usually "landlord specials".

I wish you luck finding a "shelf" type dryer door. Most nowadays are outfitted so they can be swapped for left- or right-opening option. Allows you to put laundry basket right underneath to empty. Also to eliminate the problem of having the dryer next to a door. Many was the time I'd be unloading my OL's drop-down-door Kenmore only to have my OM come barreling thru the back door. Get out the screwdriver and pliers...

Glad you enjoyed your FL visit. E-me next time you're down. We can have a mini wash-in.
